A Run Around the Block: Woodland Through the Eyes of Veta Hurst Griggs

This display describes the life and work of Veta Hurst Griggs, the author of A Run Around the Block, a memoir about growing up in Woodland, CA at the turn of the twentieth century. In her memoir she paints a vivid picture of Woodland, detailing her time with classmates, the community, her family, and friends.

This display was created for Women's History Month, 2023 based on the national theme of "Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories."
